Cleaning products with artificial fragrances often include something called phthalates. Phthalates are endocrine-disruptors, which means they interfere with your hormones. This is not great. So, one simple solution to these scented cleaning products is to buy unscented products. And, if you are trying to add aromas to your home space, try using essential oils, adding more house plants, or simply opening windows for increased air flow.
