We did a little digging, and the science is pretty hazy on this one. We know that plants are incredibly sensitive and can pick up a lot of stimuli that tells them about their environment. Beyond perceiving light, they can also sense touch, smell, wind, gravity, and sound.
A curious Colorado greenhouse owner decided to experiment with her own crop and found that across several different types of plants, and various musical genres, plants thrived with classical and jazz but withered in the presence of rock music.
