Purple flower used to be less common than it is today. A few indica-oriented strains grew purple. Other strains were exposed to cooler temperatures to give them a purple hew. Today, with the careful attention given to breeding and genetics, more strains than ever have purple in their flower. These strains cover the spectrum of effects. Some feel bright; others are more ponderous. So, has purple weed been sensationalized? There’s a good chance the answer to that question is yes. But, we don’t dispute that that purple can look good.
